THRACE. Perinthus. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Diassarion (Bronze, 25 mm, 7.37 g, 6 h), first half of the 2nd century. Veiled, diademed and draped bust of Demeter to right, holding grain ear and poppy in her raised left hand. Rev. [ΠΕΡΙΝΘΙ]ΩΝ Artemis Tauropolos advancing right, holding torch in each hand. RPC III 722. Schönert 120-7. A beautiful coin with a very attractive olive green patina. Minor smoothing, otherwise, extremely fine.
